WELCOME

My approach to therapy emphasizes insight, self-awareness and empowerment to help people do better and have more gratifying lives. Through an alliance of trust and collaboration, we work together to understand the meanings of symptoms, to get "un-stuck," and to rediscover your capacity to make the meaningful choices that are right for you. Growth occurs in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and a belief in the human capacity for healing, change and reparation.

One of my areas of focus is working with creative artists and entertainment industry professionals to increase confidence and access to creative expression, while identifying and modifying any self-destructive patterns inhibiting professional achievement.

I spent years studying the effects of traumatic events on people's lives. I have worked extensively with victims of violent crime and sexual abuse, helping people cope with the aftermath of incidents that happened recently or long ago.

My award-winning program called Healing Together for couples who want to learn to be more intimate and support one another as they recover from her past or recent sexual assault.

I often work with couples facing challenges trying to conceive a child, and those who simply want to enhance their relationship and communication skills. For more information about fertility issues, click here.

In addition to my private practice, I have been an Adjunct Professor at CSPP/Alliant University, and a guest speaker at other graduate and undergraduate programs, including Keynote Speaker for UCLA's Women 4 Change Event.

More information about my work in forensic consulting & evaluationmedia consulting, and business consulting can be found in the Consulting section of this site.
